With a stellar cast (including Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who won this year's Oscar for Best Supporting Actress) and just the right admixture of humour, pathos and empathetic acuity, Alexander Payne's film about three individals stuck in a boarding school for Christmas is one of this season's most entertaining movies.
